Models for the hunting scene (page I)
Almost everything of the Afrasiab hunting scene finds a counterpart in
Chinese painting of the Tang period. A good example are the murals from the tomb of prince Li Xian, posthumous crown prince Zhanghuai
(at Qian Xian), although they were created half a century later the Samarqand
remains (i. e., AD 706/711):
